Have you received a traffic ticket that is returnable to the Garden City Village Court? If so, contact the Law Office of David Galison, P.C. today for a free consultation. When selecting an attorney to represent you, it is wise to choose one who is familiar with the court that your ticket will be heard in. Our office is located just down the street from the Garden City Village Court and our attorneys regularly appear in the court.
The Garden City Village Court is located at 349 Stewart Avenue, Garden City, NY 11530. The Court is in session on Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m.
The Court hears New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law violations and misdemeanors. Misdemeanor traffic offenses may include Driving With a Suspended License-3rd Degree, Driving With a Suspended License-2nd Degree or Driving with a Suspended Registration. Our attorneys are trained to defend all such misdemeanor charges. We also defend tickets issued for traffic violations, including but not limited to Speeding, Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign, Following Too Closely, Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device, Failure to Signal, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident Without Reporting.
Most traffic tickets that are issued for moving violations carry with them points that may be applied to your New York State driver’s license if you are convicted of the offense. Some traffic tickets have two points associated with them, while others can result in up to 11 points on your driving record if you plead guilty to or are found guilty of the offense. Our goal when fighting traffic tickets is to reduce, and in many cases eliminate, the number of points that ultimately appear on our client’s driving record. We do this by engaging in plea bargain negotiations with the prosecutors at the Garden City Village Court. Due to our experience appearing in the Garden City Village Court we are familiar with the Court’s plea bargaining guidelines and procedures.
During a brief phone consultation, our attorneys will review the traffic tickets that you received, inform you of the number of points that you may be facing, and advise you based on our experience what the potential outcome of your case may be. If you choose to retain our office to handle your traffic ticket matter we can normally appear in court on your behalf without your presence being necessary. We do this by having you sign an authorization that grants us permission to appear in your place at the court proceeding. We strive to make the process of retaining our office as convenient and simple for our clients as possible.
