Traffic Tickets
At the Law Office of Galison & Galison we take the Defense of Traffic Tickets Extremely Seriously. Although most Traffic Tickets are not Criminal in nature the consequences of a conviction can have long lasting effects. Traffic Offense convictions can lead to any one of, or a combination of the following:
- » A Suspended or Revoked Drivers License*.
- » Increased Insurance Premiums for 3 Years.
- » Cancellation of your Drivers Insuance.
- » A Drivers Responsibility Assesment Fee payable to the DMV for 3 years.
- » Points on your Drivers License**. (See Chart Below)
* The Failure to answer a Traffic Ticket can lead to the Suspension of your Drivers License. Once your license is suspended if you are stopped while operating a motor vehicle you can be Arrested and charged with a Criminal Offense.
**If you receive over 10 Points in any 18 month period your Drivers License will be Suspended by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Points are computed by the Department of Motor Vehicles from the date the Summons is Issued, Not the date of Conviction.
